Frequently asked questions

Each one has its own style. Lenormand uses a fixed 36-card system and is often very direct and practical. Tarot uses 78 cards and can offer a broader, more layered view of a situation. Oracle decks vary and are lovely for a focused theme, message or gentle reflection.

You’re welcome to bring questions about relationships, work, family, choices, personal direction, finances, legal situations or anything you’re trying to understand more clearly. Health and wellbeing can also be explored in a general, reflective way. A reading may sometimes draw attention to something you may wish to have checked, but I do not provide medical diagnoses or replace medical care. Legal and financial situations can be explored in terms of whether the direction looks favourable, challenging or uncertain, but no reading can guarantee a verdict, a financial outcome or the exact timing of events.

We meet live online and I draw and interpret the cards with you during the session. You can ask questions as we go, clarify anything that comes up and take the reading at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

In my approach, a reading reflects the energy, choices and circumstances around you at the time of the session. It can show a direction or possibility, but I don’t see the future as something fixed in stone. If a reading highlights a difficult path, the purpose is not to frighten you, but to help you become aware of it early enough to change how you think, respond or act, and in doing so potentially change the way the situation develops. Some circumstances may be outside our control, but your choices remain your own. You are always the person making those choices, and a reading is there to give you clarity and perspective, not to take your power away.

If you like clear, direct and practical answers, Lenormand may suit you beautifully. Tarot can be helpful when you want a broader or more layered look at a situation. Oracle readings are ideal when you want a focused message, theme or gentle guidance. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to help you choose.

You don’t need to prepare anything complicated. Before your session, simply take a little time to think about what you would most like clarity or guidance on. The reading is centred on you, your path, your energy, your choices and what is most helpful for you to understand at this moment. People around you may naturally appear in the reading when their role is connected to your situation and when that information is relevant to your highest good. However, the purpose of the reading is not to focus on someone else’s private life. The focus always comes back to you, your own journey and the choices that are in your hands.

You can absolutely come to a reading with a question that feels like a yes or no, and a clear yes or no may still emerge. With Lenormand especially, I prefer to open the question a little wider because the cards can show much more around the situation than a simple answer. Questions beginning with “what” or “how” often give the reading more room than questions limited to “will”, “should” or “can”. For example, instead of asking “Should I accept this job?”, I may reframe it as “What is likely to happen if I accept this job?” and, if there is another option, “What is likely to happen if I choose the other path?” This allows us to see the direction, the influences around the situation and the reasons behind what is unfolding, so you receive a fuller picture rather than only an answer without the why. You don’t need to worry about wording your question perfectly before the session; if needed, I will help you shape it in a way that gives the reading more room to speak.
