The Shadow Side of the 72 Guardian Angels

The shadow side of the 72 guardian angels is used here as a reflective framework for exploring what may happen when a quality becomes unbalanced, overextended or difficult to express constructively. It is not a fixed description of your personality.
If you have not yet found your angel, begin with How to Calculate Your Guardian Angel by Birth Date. For the qualities and what they support before exploring the shadow side, read The 72 Guardian Angels: Qualities and What They Support.
The date ranges follow the modern guardian-angel calendar used in my earlier article. The shadow column is for reflection, not a fixed description of you.
The shadow side of the 72 guardian angels
Birth date and guardian angel | Quality and what it supports | Shadow side |
Mar 21–25 Vehuiah | Strong will, initiative, enthusiasm, determination. | Impatience, forcing outcomes and excessive self-reliance. Use this quality by beginning what matters, while allowing time and support instead of pushing everything through alone. |
Mar 26–30 Jeliel | Love, harmony, loyalty, diplomacy. | People-pleasing, avoiding necessary conflict and idealising relationships. Use harmony to speak honestly, not to keep peace at your own expense. |
Mar 31–Apr 4 Sitael | Courage, reliability, generosity, responsibility. | Pride, rigidity and taking on too much responsibility. Let reliability include admitting when you need help. |
Apr 5–9 Elemiah | Ambition, discovery, action and enterprise. | Restlessness, over-ambition and acting before reflecting. Direct your energy towards one meaningful next step. |
Apr 10–14 Mahasiah | Peace, wisdom, learning, harmony. | Perfectionism, overthinking and intellectualising emotion. Understanding helps, but it does not replace feeling. |
Apr 15–20 Lelahel | Creativity, knowledge, recognition and artistic ability. | Need for recognition, comparison and tying self-worth to achievement. Create because it matters to you, not only to be seen. |
Apr 21–25 Achaiah | Patience, perseverance, observation and learning. | Excessive caution, hesitation and over-analysis. Let curiosity lead to one practical action. |
Apr 26–30 Cahetel | Gratitude, productivity, abundance and connection with nature. | Resistance to change and over-attachment to security. Notice where safety is helping you and where it is keeping you still. |
May 1–5 Haziel | Mercy, forgiveness, friendship and generosity. | Over-forgiving harmful behaviour, weak boundaries and self-sacrifice. Forgiveness can include a clear limit. |
May 6–10 Aladiah | Renewal, recovery, resilience and healing. | Repeating cycles and relying on fresh starts instead of addressing the root issue. A new beginning works best when it includes honesty about the past. |
May 11–15 Lauviah | Achievement, intelligence, talent and determination. | Competitiveness, fear of failure and workaholism. Success should not become the only way you measure yourself. |
May 16–20 Hahaiah | Intuition, discretion, gentleness and dreams. | Isolation, secrecy and confusing fear with intuition. Keep your inner world private if you need to, but do not disappear into it. |
May 21–25 Iezalel | Loyalty, friendship, adaptability and reconciliation. | Holding on too long, approval-seeking and difficulty accepting endings. Loyalty should include loyalty to yourself. |

Jun 1–5 Hariel | Clarity, creativity, morality and spiritual aspiration. | Criticism, intolerance of mistakes and excessive idealism. Growth does not require perfection. |
Jun 6–10 Hakamiah | Loyalty, bravery, honour and leadership. | Dominance, inflexibility and difficulty delegating. Lead without carrying every responsibility alone. |
Jun 11–15 Lauviah | Intuition, inspiration, music, poetry and creativity. | Escapism, moodiness and becoming lost in imagination. Give your inspiration a small place in real life. |
Jun 16–21 Caliel | Justice, honesty, discernment and integrity. | Suspicion, harsh judgement and obsession with proving the truth. Discernment needs evidence and also the ability to let matters rest. |
Jun 22–26 Leuviah | Memory, intelligence, kindness and resilience. | Living in the past, self-doubt and suppressing emotion. Memory can teach you without keeping you there. |
Jun 27–Jul 1 Pahaliah | Devotion, discipline, morality and meaning. | Dogmatism, guilt and excessive self-denial. Let your values guide you without becoming a burden. |

Aug 2–6 Yerathel | Justice, peace, communication and useful ideas. | Preaching, argumentativeness and difficulty listening. Let your words create understanding, not only defend a view. |
Aug 7–12 Seheiah | Prudence, resilience and good judgement. | Fearfulness, risk avoidance and over-planning. Prudence should protect your future, not prevent a necessary change. |
Aug 13–17 Reiyel | Integrity, truth, independence and conviction. | Stubbornness, isolation and difficulty compromising. Independence is strongest when it does not become a wall. |
Aug 18–22 Omael | Patience, healing, care and growth. | Over-nurturing, self-neglect and taking others’ problems personally. Care does not mean taking over someone else’s life. |

Oct 4–8 Rehael | Healing, affection, compassion and family bonds. | Guilt, overprotectiveness and difficulty separating your needs from family. Love can allow healthy distance. |
Oct 9–13 Ieiazel | Consolation, liberation, writing and artistic expression. | Escapism, melancholy and withdrawing into creativity. Let expression help you face life, not avoid it. |
Oct 14–18 Hahahel | Conviction, courage, devotion and energy. | Fanaticism, self-sacrifice and burnout. Strong belief should leave room for rest and questions. |
Oct 19–23 Mikael | Diplomacy, organisation, strategy and travel. | Over-strategising, mistrust and emotional distance. Not every relationship needs to be managed. |
